Generations of kids have loved the classic animal stories collected and retold by Rudyard Kipling in his Just So Stories. Yours won't be the exception when you share this wonderful edition with them. It's illustrated with Kipling's original line drawings and 4 gorgeous double sided colored plates by Joseph M.  Gleeson, who drew them for a 1912 edition. The book design is impeccable, it has a pictorial cover featuring 2 of Gleeson's illustrations, one on front and one on back, deckle cut page fore edges and orange top edges. The interior features decorative endpapers with a presentation box (not filled in) , a large font for easy reading and just enough white space on each page to be restful to the eye. This is, without doubt, the one of the most beautiful editions of Just So Stories I've seen. I'd call this a like new copy except that there is a cut and a scratch on the spine. It looks like maybe a box cutter dug too deeply when the store was opening the carton of new books.
