This elegant 1980s cocktail dress will make you feel so glamorous you'll want to wear it to every special occasion you attend. It has a jewel neckline, ruched inset at the waist, a 7" long gathered peplum that starts just below the natural waistline and a kickpleat/walking slit at the center back hemline. 3/4 sleeves are gathered at the cap. There are the typical 1980s shoulder pads. The fabric is a black polyester with an allover print of small pink roses. Closes with a back zipper.

Size 10. Measures 19 1/2" across the front from underarm to underarm; 14 1/2" across the front at the waistline, and 20" across the front at the hips. Skirt falls just below the knee, about 25" from the waistline. (It's kind of hard with this cut of dress to tell exactly where the true waistline is, but that's my best estimate.) This dress looks gorgeous on. It really emphasizes the curves of the female figure, and the ruched waistline and hip hiding peplum do a great job of disguising figure flaws. Unfortunately, since I am primarily a bookseller, I do not have a model available to model this dress for you.

I wore this dress to my sister's wedding in 1988 and several times after that. Every time I wore it, I got lots of compliments. Unfortunately, it does not fit me any more. The tags have been cut out, but the dress needs to be dry-cleaned.
