Inspired by an authentic quilt from the 1800s, Addy’s colorful quilt is like a family album made out of fabric—each of the nine squares depicts the faces, places, and everyday pleasures dear to the quilt maker’s heart.

This six-page 1991 illustrated booklet entitled “Sweet Dreams, Addy” is 4” x 4 ¾” and describes in some authentic detail life in Philadelphia for a young girl just escaped from slavery in North Carolina at the time of the Civil War.
