They can tell more than 1000 words can __________________________________________ The glass designer and glass engraver Helmut Rotter was trained in 1944 at the German state school for glass processing in Haida. During the training ban 1945-47  he worked in the glass refinery Schneider & Mueller, Greifswald, 1947-49, he worked as an engraver, and illustrator at Lousa Bela, then employed as a "Kugler" at  Borokristal, Novy Bor. After a service obligation in civil engineering, he fled in May 1953 to the Federal Republic of Germany and 1953-60 he worked as a fine grinder and engraver at Richard Süßmuth in Immenhausen. In 1960 he was an engraver at Gral Hütte (Grails hut) in Dürnau. 1961-63 he attended the State-College for the precious metal sector / Glass Department in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The master's examination, he passed in 1963 with honors. From 1963 he worked as a freelance artist in Dürnau. 1973-83, he has taught glass and gemstone design at the School of Design, Schwäbisch Gmünd. 1980-82 he worked as a designer for Grail-glass works and in 1983 he was artistic and technical director of the workshop on glass finishing Carl Rotter, Lübeck. From 1984 he was again free-lance artist in Dürnau, 1985-87 he was a designer for the Gralglas factory and Staufen  glass, Dürnau. QUESTIONS??????
