Item for auction is an Advance Reader's Edition of Getting Mother's Body by Suzan-Lori Parks.  This is a softcover copy (215 pages) published in May of 2003 by Random House.  The book was written by the 2002 Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  On the back cover is the following statement, "An enormously accomplished and original debut novel in the tradition of the great African Amnerican women writers."

Item Specifics
Overall, this book is in very good condition.  There is, however, writing in ink on the first page of the book.  It's at the top and measures 2.5 inches by .5 inches.  It says:  6/12 Newburyport Library 6:30 p.m.  That's the only thing written anywhere in the book.  The book shows signs of having been read, and the cover (which is not a hard cover) shows a little wear on the corners and at the edges of the spine.  This is a softcover copy of the book, so there is no dust jacket.
