This listing is for a Lubin flannelle parfumee (perfume cloth) "impregnated" with Nuit de Longchamps perfume.   The cardboard folder is in relatively good condition.  What looks like a water stain on the front in the photos (see photo 2) is actually a crease in the cardboard.  The "belt" that runs across the front is beginning to break at the point where it's necessary to bend it to slide it into the slot on the opposite side.  I've refrained from tucking it into the slot, because repeated bending will likely cause it to break at some point. There's no date anywhere on the folder or the cellophane. Identical vanity cloths previously listed on eBay were advertised as being from the 30's.

The printing in English on the front of the package reads:  Madam, This "flanelle" has been freshly impregnated.  For the first week, it is suggested that, avoiding to press it, you insert this flanelle between two sheets of tissue paper and use it to cover your lingerie.

The vanity cloth has never been removed from its original cellophane package.  The cellophane is starting to deteriorate,  and there is some tearing along the edge in a few places.  For the time being, though, the package is still pretty much intact, and the smell of the perfume that the cloth was "impregnated" with hasn't diminished.  I will definitely miss it after it's gone, because the smell in my bureau drawer right now is wonderful.
