Flower Holder all produced functional metal flower frogs in the later 1920s through the 1950s. In the 1930s it became necessary to make a needle or a pin cushion flower holder. This push was to accommodate the florist industry who was starting to delivery flowers to location. This required something to hold the flowers tight in the arrangement. Thus the sharps were mass produced and still today remain a main stay for flower arrangements especially ikebana. Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation came into existence in 1937 with a combination of glass making plants. They produced a number of depression patterns which are highly collected today. They also have produced a tremendous amount of kitchenware. They are still in production today.

This is a  flower frog that is clear glass produced to go with  the flower bowls produced in this pattern.  The frog has 11 holes.  It is 3 1/2" across.  The frog is in excellent condition
