With this wonderful new jacket pattern you will learn unique ways to piece fabrics together to create New fabric. A full color cutting diagram is included in this pattern which makes it very easy to cut all the fabrics for the patchwork. A silk ribbon accents the Ladder Stitches that join some of the patchwork. You Play with the placement of the rectangles to give a random patchwork effect. Next you serge the rectangles together and cut the fronts, back and sleeves from the new fabric. 

The jacket is designed to be quilted with a light layer of cotton batting or flannel inside which can be done on the serger or sewing machine. Next you will serge inside seams with a 4 thread stitch. There are two views in this pattern, a shorter jacket that has rounded edges with an asymmetrical look and a longer jacket with a standard center front closure and corners. 

The jacket can be lined with a fabric that is in the patchwork or you can select a silky lining with facings. Ladder Stitch, Coverstitch, Top Coverstitch, Chainstitch and a 4 Thread stitch are some of the stitches that you can use on this jacket. It is a wonderful artistic way to use fabrics and make a garment you will love to wear.
