MEASURE HOT SAMPLES! JUST NOT BOILING SAMPLES...
The PEN-PRO is equipped with “Automatic Temperature Compensation” for accurate measurements without recalibration after shifts in ambient working temperature (field use). The "ATC" range is 10'C-100'C (50'F-212'F), which is pretty huge. This range allows you to sample HOTSamples! Hot samples will create a microclimate, so samples should be allows to cool a little bit. Why? Samples that are too hot could fry the unit. When measuring a hot sample, please check the temperature before testing. Please remember that viscous (thick) samples will retain heat, so measure them with caution.
The unit runs off (1) AAA batteries on a LARGE PRINT digital LCD display.
