This pump is intended to pump thick liquids such as oil, so is perfect for this application. Don't worry about blown fuses or overheats! This Fill-Rite pump will stay pumping at a steady 3.5-4.5 gallons per minute; perfect for a Veggie Vehicle fill up, or at-home filtration station. It is also good for use with diesel, gasoline, mineral spirits, kerosene, motor oil, lubricants, or water.

Will this Pump Vegetable Oil?
Be aware that many pumps just can not do this job well. Most pumps are full of plastic parts that melt when they are overworked by a thicker liquid. For this reason Gear Oil and Heavy Duty pumps are the best choices. This pump is designed for consistently pumping thick liquids - perfect for Veggie. Handling Oil?
Vegetable Oil can be very sticky on any surface it comes in contact with. It will stain clothing and fabric, as well as garages, driveways, and wood. Be aware of this when filtering as minor precautions can save you alot of mess. For instance, wear gloves, wait for drips to fall before moving hoses, and put down cardboard or a plastic sheet around an area that you use to filter - or choose an area that is okay to get messy, or can be power-washed to be cleaned.
