Since purchase (mid 2009), the pedal has been boxed and shelved only, NEVER GIGGED; only ever used at home very briefly for testing at the time of purchase.

This OS-2 has been tested by me as a distortion/overdrive unit to the output of a Roland TB-303 Bassline and as such is a superb accessory which lends the already beautiful bubbly charm of the 303 far more harmonically rich & aggressive overtones. The OS-2 is also perfectly suited as a quality distortion/overdrive unit for other monosynths e.g. Roland MC-202 and SH-101, Novation Bassstation etc, further fortifying the much loved sounds of these old beauties.

 

Naturally, the Boss OS-2 was developed by Roland's renowned sister company Boss, who specialize in quality guitar products. To this end, the OS-2 will happily serve all manner of guitarists looking to add that edgy/gritty/metallic tone to their sonic artillery, proving a very effective means of adding both overdrive and distortion from one very simple inline pedal.

Although this particular unit has never been Gigged (it's never even left my house), Boss's pedals are built to last and the electronics are housed in a very sturdy metal housing making it fully suitable for even the heaviest night on the stage. The OS-2 is already a classic and by buying a quality used version at a knock-down price, you just can't lose!

     

Originally bought for £50.00 as 'Turnkey' B-stock, it appears there was at the time of manufacture the tiniest scratch on the top of the pedal which has been touched-up at the factory by hand (see photo, it's practically invisible now). There is also a tiny dent above the 'Drive Knob' which is clearly shown in the photo (hence sold as is with no returns!). I am selling this unit with its original box and manuals and will even throw in a New Duracell 9 volt PP3 battery; can't say fairer than that.
