• The finger scanner unit is also a portable unit that can be mounted in a variety of locations and even carried around thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery. Provided with a wall mounting bracket, once fixed in the desire location you can lock the finger print scanner in place with the key provided. Then if you ever need to take it back to your desk to download the information you can then unlock it using the key and slide it off the mounting bracket.
• Important Note for Hourly Employers: The cost of missed labor hours can be very high.   Didn't this product used to come with an optional electronic door opening accessory?
  Yes. However with the standards for e-doors differing between major brands, we decided to remove it from this unit. The model CVKC-G112 is now simply an excellent Fingerprint Time Attendance Device for Small Businesses.
• Is this fingerprint access code scanner secure from employee pranks?
  Yes, it is provided with a professional software application that keep tracks of everyone's entry and exit activity and allows you to store individual file records of each employee. With its 3D sensor it can accurately detect fingers and heat, which means it cannot be fooled by fingerprint pictures or photocopies.
• What happens if I injure my registered finger and the finger print scanner was no longer able to recognize the original fingerprint registration?
  Simple, you can connect it to your computer, once you have installed the software application provided, and delete you registration details. After that, re-register and alternate finger and your good to go.
• What's the userid and password to access administrative privileges on this unit?
  The userid and password can be found in the user manual, but here is it anyway. Userid is "admin", no quotes needed. The password is either: 321, 123, 1234, 000, 0, 0000, 1, or just leave it blank.
