I made these Angels of hope over 20 years ago. It started when the Best Man for my wedding and my dear friend passed away from Aids. It broke my heart that I didn't even know he was sick with it. I decided then to start making Angels for Aids and donate money to AMFAR from every sale. I will be posting the different color ribbons as I can from my old stock. Making these Purple Ribbon Pins I started thinking of all the many meanings for the Purple Ribbon, there are many causes that use the Purple, General Cancer, Adoption, Victims of 9/11, Animal Abuse, many meanings. For this time I am focusing on the need to speak about Domestic Violence. I know it has been on the news a lot lately which is good to start the dialog about it. She is made by casting the original Sterling Silver one into Fine Pewter, no lead and then plated with 24k gold and then an antique put on for detail.
