I made these Angels of hope about 20 years ago. It started when the Best Man for my wedding and my dear friend passed away from Aids. It broke my heart that I didn't even know he was sick with it. I decided then to start making Angels for Aids and donate money to AMFAR from every sale. I will be posting the Breast Cancer Angel of Hope in other listings. This would make a wonderful gift for someone who has lost a friend or family member to Aids or for someone fighting the disease. I will donate 15% of my profits to AMFAR. I branched out from there and created many different angels with many different colors of ribbons for other charities. I made a Breast Cancer, Lost Children and other Awareness Angels. At one time they were being sold in over 400 stores across the US. They used to sell for $30, these are left over from my stock and limited in number, now only $21.99. Out of these came the Angel of Hope. She has many different meanings to me for many different causes. Global Warming, Peace in the World, and safe traveling. She is made by casting the original Sterling Silver one into Fine Pewter, no lead and then plated with 24k gold and then an antique put on for detail.
