Amidst the lavish excess of the Japanese magistrates and all the trappings of their courtly life, Mondo fights to unravel the mystery of Okuda. Coming across scandal after scandal, he finds that corruption paves a road all the way to the Shogun himself! But even then, Mondo is not afraid to fight for his own honor, and avenge those who died during the investigation.
