Hatamoto Taikutsu Otoko Nazo No Hebi Hime Yashiki - The tales of Saotome Mondonosuke (the ”Bored Hatamoto” aka Crescent Scarred Samurai) have been told in over 25 films. As a Hatamoto (direct retainer of the Shogun) Mondonosuke has a crescent scar on his forehead, which is a license from the Shogun to go above and beyond the law in order to protect the Shogunate.
Saotome Mondosuke must foil a minister's evil plan to assassinate the Shogun and steal the long lost hidden treasure of the Tokugawa's. Yet, even before he can act, the minister kidnaps the siblings of the clan that holds the secret treasue map.
