THIEF IN BLACK (1964) - REMASTERED
Kuro No Tozoku - Okawa Hashizo plays a dual role in this fast-moving Ninja action story.
He is the chivalrous robber Musashi Kotaro, known as "The Thief in Black", and he is the highclass intelligent Tachibana Jo, a direct retainer of the shogun known for his strong sense of justice. Set during the reign of Hidetada, the 2nd Tokugawa Shogun, Tachibana Jo has restructured the capital city of Edo, thus correcting the mismanagement by Honda Hidekatsu (Otomo Ryutaro).
"The Thief in Black" who is a member of the Musashi Clan have been deprived of their land and title by the Tokugawa Shogunate. They kidnap Aamami Sojo to exchange him for their land related to the Edo Castle plan. Jiro is sent as an envoy to the hostage negotiations, and much to everyone's surprise, they find that Kotaro and Jiro look almost identical. While everyone is taken aback by this, a major brawl occurs! Eventually, it is discovered that they are, in fact, twins!
