Shokei no shima - Set in post-WWII Japan, Saburo is a young man whose quest for revenge against the murder of his parents consumes his life.
Seeking revenge against the guard who tormented him, a young man returns to the island where he was held prisoner as a child. He was sent to the island as a boy so he could not reveal the identities of the military police who killed his family. For 20 years he has planned to seek revenge against the sadistic tormentor who brutally killed his parents and then nearly beat him to death because of suspicions that his father was an anarchist.
When he finds the object of his obsession on a small Pacific island, he falls in love with the man’s daughter, and the young woman claims her father has changed his ways. Despite this, Saburo exacts his revenge, which frees him from the haunting memories of the events which began his obsession...
