ABASHIRI PRISON 2: CONTINUED (1965) - REMASTERED
Zoku Abashiri bangaichi - (aka The Green Ball Mystery) Shinichi Tachibana (Ken Takakura) finds himself in a jam when he is mistaken for a bank robber. In order to prove his innocence, he goes after the real criminal.
The story concentrates on a cache of jewels stolen from a bank safe and smuggled in some imitation algae balls. By mistake Shinichi gets his hands on a part of the loot, but somehow the Police seem to believe he has something to do with the robbery and the murder of a Policeman, which doesn’t make it very easy for him to return the jewels.
What ensues is essentially a chase film, with the thieves trying to get the jewels back the story twists and turns as various characters get caught up along the way as it builds towards the inevitable climax.
