Purpose
Respirator R-2 protects breathing organs from radioactive dusts.
Respirator does not protect from steam and gases

 

Handling rules

Remove the respirator from the package.
Put the respirator on your face, so that your chin and nose would be placed inside the mask.
Adjust straps according to your head size.
Adjust respirator according to your head, squeeze nose squeezer and make 2-3 breathes.
Track the respirator to be smoothly nestled to your face during the use.
In case of dust concentration inside the respirator, drag the respirator down the chin and spill it away.

 

Deactivation and saving (keeping)

Deactivation of the respirator has to be made with careful jogs, stick use or jabs in to some thing. Dusts from inside surface of respirator are removed with some wish broom or cotton.
Turning inside out is not recommended, because of mechanical damage.
Respirator should be saved in polythene package, closed with help of ring. It should be saved from mechanical damage, liquids, organic solvents and fats.
