Mother's Day Plate
Since 1726 Rörstrand has collaborated with Sweden’s foremost designers to create contemporary porcelain of the finest quality.
The Rörstrand Mother's Day Plates are decorated with motifs taken from the paintings of the famous Swedish artist Carl Larsson. These motifs depict Swedish life at the turn of the century and were inspired by the festive and everyday scenes of family life at the artist's own home.
A 1971 Mors Dag (Mother's Day) Plate made by Rörstrand. The blue and white porcelain plate measures 8 1/4" in diameter. The plate is decorated with a scene of a mother and child from a Carl Larsson painting.
The back of the plate is marked with the company's logo and discription of the the scene. In addition, the plate is drilled for a wall hanger.
The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing or other distractions to note.
