1959 DeForest of California Cookie Jar-Bird House Vintage Bird House Cookie Jar by DeForest of California ©1959 A vintage ceramic cookie jar and lid made by DeForest of California Pottery, USA.  The cooky jar is 12" tall from base to finial of the lid, and is 5" in diameter at base and 8 1/4" at the rim.   Decorated as a bird house the wood grained sides of the jar has a window with bird.   A bluebird is perched on the roof shaped lid.  The cookie jar is from 1959. The cookie jar is in good condition with no chips, hairlines or cracks in the jar.  There is a small flake missing from the tail of the bird.  Some scratches in the glaze appear as hairlines, but are part of the graining effect used on the original glaze.
