You are presented here with an exceptional Prayer Bead Strand entirely hand carved by a master Bead carver. 

It is part of a NEW OLD STOCK which has been found lately, meaning that this strand has been carved very probably in the 1950's as it is part of an old large estate that I purchased from an old collector/trader.

The strand  has been cleaned, restrung and added with a sterling silver tassel.

It is made of Bordeaux Color MISKETA which in fact is a high quality vintage  phenolic based resin - very probably from previous Chekoslovakia which produced excellent quality products and that was very much in vogue in the 1930's. It is a highly collectable item due to its age and rarity of the material. Such a material is often called FATURAN and sold at very high prices as Faturan - which in fact it is NOT. It is a very  rare material but still does not attain the heights of Faturan prices.
