All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection. They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old. All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

The very exceptional and extremely rare item in this listing has the following characteristics:

This is a Rosary dating from the first half of the 20th century made with rare Faceted Uranium ( or Vaseline) beads ( sea explanation herebelow) 

I). 6.3 x 7.2 mm average beads for the Ave Marias. Pater Nosters have same measurements but ar capped with sterling bead caps. mm. Separators between Aves and Paters are filigree Srerling Silver

II). The cross is Sterling Silver . 50 x 30 mm.

IV) There is a Sterling Miraculous medal attached to the rosary

V). Total length : 65 cm (26 in.) -- Total weight : 52.5 grams.

All metal parts, chain, links, cross, center, separators, rings and Medal are Sterling Silver and have been renewed totally. The glass faceted beads are all genuine vintages dating from the 1920's

Uranium glass is glass which has had uranium, usually in oxide diuranate form, added to a glass mix before melting for coloration. The proportion usually varies from trace levels to about 2% uranium by weight.
Uranium glass is recognized by its luminescence under UV light ( called also Black light) . It is not luminescent in the dark.
Uranium glass was once made into tableware and household items, but fell out of widespread use when the availability of uranium to most industries was sharply curtailed. Most such objects are now considered antiques or retro-era collectibles, although there has been a minor revival in art glassware. Otherwise, uranium glass is now mainly limited to small objects like beads or marbles as scientific or decorative novelties. 
Today faceted quality Uranium beads are of high rarity and much sought after by collectors.
The Uranium glass objects are completely safe to handle as the radio activity of uranium glass objects is hardly traceable and does not exceed that of any other surrounding object of every day life
