Connecting the MXL USB Mic Mate Dynamic to Your Computer: Plug the Female end of the XLR cable into your microphone and the male end into the MXL Mic Mate Dynamic. To forgo use of XLR cable, simply unscrew the XLR shield and connect directly to the microphone. Now connect the corresponding ends of the USB cable to the MXL Mic Mate Dynamic and your computer's USB port. When this is complete, the red LED light will illuminate indicating that it is receiving power.
