I've decided that my fingers could not be described as green. I read recently that here is a huge shortage of allottments and that people like me are renting their gardens to meet the demand
Mine has the added attraction of being literally "self-contained" being seperated from the house by a communal passage serving my three neighbours so access can be enjoyed 24/7 withoot disturbing anybody. (see clumsy diagram) (to follow)
You would have carte blanche to do as you wish with it with three exceptions -
1) The tree (its just been "tree surgeoned" so should be ok for a few years to come)
2) The plants/shrubs in one corner planted there by my Mother!
3) The Shed - you'll probably want to keep things there anyway - I'll need to keep a share there too
Other than that you can turn it over to friut & veg, sunbath on the grass or whatever.
I think £10 a week is fair and a trial period of three months (12 weeks) would suffice. After that either party may terminate the agreement.
4 weeks up front and 4 weeks deposit against damage to fixtures and fitting would seem reasonable
