Product Description "The USS Nicholas (DD-449) was
commissioned on 4 June 1942, a significant event for the US Navy. It
marked the service entry of the first of 175 Fletcher Class destroyers.
These destroyers represented a landmark design that would serve with
distinction through WWII. "Fletcher DDs in action" provides a good source of information on the
Fletcher class destroyer. This softcover book is filled with many black
and white photos of various DDs in service, as well as a dozen or so
line drawings of the weapons systems mounted over the Fletchers' naval
career.
The book tells the history of the Fletcher and includes a
chronological narative of battles seen by Fletchers. Ships' names are
given with the respect to naval engagements.

States is via USPS Media Mail rate. There
will be a flat rate of $3.95 for the first book.
