You are looking at a 199? Kawasaki Mule 2510? Do not know the actual year and am only 95 percent sure on the model. I looked over it and could not find markings, VIN etc.

We have owned this for the last 5 years and used it at our auto auction as a lot vehicle and to push non running vehicles through the auction. We bought it from a racing team in Texas that used it for basically the same thing we did. They pushed their car and, like us, had a tool box in the back using it as a pit vehicle.

It is in pretty rough shape and I will go through everything I know about it. I have added lots of pictures so please look a them all.

THE BAD:

Cosmetically looks rough.

Front fenders are broken from pushing cars around. It has a push bumper we built into the frame so it pushed well however when you turned it would hit the fenders and it destroyed them.

It started recently slipping out of forward gear. You put it in gear and it goes fine however it started popping out of gear into neutral. Still drivable but do not know why it started popping out of gear sometimes, usually when you are under forward pressure. It seems to be doing it more often as time goes.

Needs a battery. Starts up great but needs to be jumped.

Muffler is basically gone and broken. It was since we bought it however I cared and still do not care. Sounds fine I noticed the muffler problem when putting on a new shifter cable.

The differential lock is not working. We never used it however tried it out the other day and it seems stuck. Could be the cable or who knows. I doubt it is broken just never used so froze up.

Speedometer cable is disconnected. We did this when we first purchased it because this also disabled the governor. It did work when we undid it however that was 5 years ago.

Do not know if, or what, lights work. We never used them and the tail light is gone.

 

THE GOOD:

Engine runs excellent. It has always started and ran no matter what. Winter, Summer any time never had an issue and it still starts good after sitting etc. We have had out auction shut down for over a year and I just started it up the other day and it fired right up.

We maintained it mechanically very good. Kept the oil changed, etc. We never cared cosmetically because of what we used if for but mechanically took care of it.

New shifter cable. Just put it on at a cost of about $100. I hoped it would solve the popping out of forward gear but it didn’t.

Rear tires are almost brand new. Put them on not long ago. One has a slow leak and will go down over time.

Front tires are not in bad shape.

Bed dumps and works good

My lot person "pimped" it out a bit, lights, hoola doll, etc. The pimp lights actually work well. This is easily undone.

This would make a good pit, lot or farm utility vehicle. The price is right, it is reliable and you would not have to worry about scratching it. You would probably want to fix the popping out of forward gear issue (it is irritating) then could use it as is. Or it would be good for parts.

It does not have a title, never had one, and will be sold on a bill of sale.
