This book is illistrated with great picture for all ages learning about geology.  The World of Geology introduces this fascinating science in a readable, uncomplicated language providing a valuable insight into the problems of finding oil, predicting earthquakes and generally finding out more about our planet. Geology is essentially a practical subject and emphasis is placed on the necessity to go out-of-doors and look at rocks and fossils, but the microscope is not neglected and an introduction to its use will be welcomed by the student.  The book is in good shape, very minor wear.
