Framed detailed chalk painting of seascape in pastels like you never seen before,well constructed frame with glass.Ornate gold gilted design, more than some chipping to the frame gesso which defines the age of the piece. Original hardware with original backing.

Obtained from an Estate Sale in Ballston Spa NY as is, as obtained,painting in excellent condition  the frame is well constructed but needs some work for its age.With some discoloration  in the border edges. Print can be re-bordered and the marks would not be seen.

Would look beautiful in that Victorian home,Country Cottage or that B&B  and would make one heck of a conversational piece. As of late decorator magazines have been showing pieces as such, in your hallway,den or office.

I must say this was very hard to describe,the painting has some chalkyness to it,the frame extremely old and well constructed and ornate.The extreme inner border of the frame is in excellent shape,its the outer piece that will need some work.This could be the sleeper this year.A good frame shop can make this look like new again,and then the frame will be worth its weight in gold,figuretivly speaking.
