• Apply shortening to your mat with a pastry brush
• Apply shortening as evenly as possible
• Once you insert your mat, use the arrow button to move it 1/2" from the edge
• For best results, test a small piece of material before you try intricate designs
• Freeze icing sheets before using to achieve the best cuts
• Icing sheets cannot be used directly on any frosting
• Place icing sheet cuts directly onto fondant
