This is a 100% original photograph of the mob lynching of 2 AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN, THOMAS SHIPP & ABRAM SMITH in MARION, INDIANA on AUG. 7, 1930, 2 days after they were arrested.  I'am selling it in as found condition. It is very clear but has three 1 1/2" tears 2 at the upper left and 1 at the center bottom. The photo has some crazing in the paper but displays well. Pieces of all 4 corners are missing as if it was torn down from tacks on a wall. It is 9 1/4" wide and 6 7/8" tall. Someone has trimmed off the white border edge. The back is soiled. This is one of the originals that has, MARION, IND. AUG. 1930 on the front. This is NOT A COPY or REPRINT. I purchased this from a 70 year old man that has owned it since the 80's. He said he got it from a elderly lady that lived in MARION at the time this happened. A very rare historical photograph.
