The meaning of the African Jade stone
At one time it was belived there was only one type of Jade. Since 1863, geologist have divided "Jade" into Jadeite and Nephrite. Jadite is composed of Sodium Aluminum silicate, and is found primarily in centralamerica. with some deposits in Japan and o the west cost of the U.S and British Columbia. It is usually Green or mottled green and white, but ocasionally it can be violet from traces of iron. Nephrite is made up of calcium magnesium iron silicate, and is found primarily in Asia.
