Chicago, IL in 1910.....Mercy!!! .....Them books is even older than Bob Dole!!!!.......Writers in these volumes include: Dickens, Eliot, Goethe, Poe, Racine, Rostand, Shakespeare, Robert Burns, Lord Byron, Julius Caesar, Emile Zola, Hans Christian Andersen, the Arabian Knights, Audobon, Balzac and more. Index in last volume........Books have many full page illustrations, protected by onion skin paper..........

    DESCRIPTION - These here books is bound in 3/4 leather, with gold letterin? on spines, and marbled boards and endpapers.......Tops of pages tipped in gold.....Each book measures 8 3/4" X 6" .....

    CONDITION - The set is in overall good condition.....The covers and pages are very secure......And the gold letterin' and leather is still nice and bright.....There is chippin' at the top and bottom of most all the books, and wear to the cover corners....One volume has much more chippin' than the others....One volume has about about a 1 1/2 inch tear of leather on the bottom side of the spine....And another book has a 1/2 inch tear of leather on bottom side of spine.......But neither of these tears shows when the books are on the shelf.....And the set looks very nice a-settin' on the shelf........I tell you - this here is a nice set.......
