EYA OZEROVA
Graduated
with an MFA degree from the Moscow University of Art and Design. An experienced
art instructor who has been working with textile and fiber arts for more than
20 years. I also work in and teach a variety of mediums: oil, drawing, and
monotype, but my passion lies in fashion design and felt tapestries.
~My favorite materials are light, flowing silks, and soft, weightless woolen
fibers.
~As an
artist, I find silk and wool to be the most enchanting to my soul.
~As a woman,
I find them to be the most indulging to my body.
Tapestry:
Soft Painting
(nonwoven tapestry) is a new art form.
Based upon a forgotten ancient technology, it has been rediscovered in the 20th
century. This technique shares certain similarities with painting process:
colored woolen fleece serves as paint projected onto a textile canvas.
