Description: This listing is for one made in Germany toothpick or match holder depicting a boy with his dog and what looks like a egg as the holder. The hand painting is very good.  The boy's face paint is excellent with single stroke eyebrows, single dot eyes and rose blushed cheeks similar to either Goebel or Galluba & Hoffmann.  The glaze is nice and glossy with no crazing. If you look at the face you can see teeny tiny pieces of dirt in the pores. This helps differentiate the piece from modern made figurines also of German manufacture.  I have not been able to ID the piece from it's incised manufacture/mold number 10905.  There is also the word Germany incised below the id number as well.  I took a picture so you can, hopefully see the detail ya need.   Condition: The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.  The glaze is even, glossy and smooth with no crazing. All of our items come from a smoke-free, pet-free home...even though we love the puppy dawgs.  And the kitties too...but just the good kitties not the naughty kitties. Maker: Unknown maker but it has incised marks 10905 Germany.  The face and shirt painting is simlar to that of bathing beauty figurines I have had in the past which were made by Goebel but this piece is not marked so it could be from any of the German china makers of the ca 1920s era.   Era Made: Best estimate is ca. 1920s-1930s.   Measurements: It stands about 3" tall to the boy's head, overall length is 2-3/4" measured along the base, the holder egg shaped portion is about 2-3/4" in diameter at it's widest.  The depth of the holder is about 2-1/8".  Modern day toothpicks fit just fine inside and you can easily grab them.   Items Included Summary: This listing includes one figural toothpick holder as described and shown in pictures.   As you can see we do require a PayPal account to bid on our auctions.  Not to worry if you do not have a PayPal account.  If you just drop us an email we can add your ID to our Bidder Requirements Exemption List.  This will let you bid on our auctions no matter what.  It's easy to send a note using either our email link below or eBay's Ask Seller a Question   Domestic Shipping: International Shipping: This listing is being offered with calculated shipping.
