Description: This listing is for a several pieces from a mid-century modern California pottery Canister Set by Barbara Willis in light chartreuse body with her Provincial line  bird & floral decoration.  The set includes four pieces.  There is a salt & pepper set, the 4" canister (smallest of the three in the complete set) and then one spice containers.  Each piece has it's original lid. The black "crazing" you can see in the images was intentional and is part of the design.  The bird decorations are hand applied under glaze decals and all original as well.  On it's bottom, underneath, the 4" canister has a couple of very minor glaze flakes missing as you can see in the images of it's bottom.  Otherwise I don't find any damage, repairs or restorations.  There is a bit of darkening in parts of the 4" canister but really it's nothing at all and mentioned just because it really does not show in the photos.  I don't suspect the pieces this set saw much use over the years, some obviously but in general not a lot of use.  It's really nice and a fun example of her more mainstream MCM California Pottery.   Condition: The tops on the salt and pepper are permanently affixed which is original.  The lids of each piece are in excellent condition with not cracking or drying out of the wood.  The 4" canister is in very good condition with a couple small glaze flakes on the bottom as shown.  None of the other pieces have any damage, repairs or restorations.  The jars all ring true with a more bell-like tone and no "thunks" which is how to test for hidden cracks... All of our items come from a smoke-free, pet-free home...even though we love the puppy dawgs.  And the kitties too...but just the good kitties not the naughty kitties.
