How to Fill a Butane Lighter:

• Bleed the lighter before filling it to allow for maximum filling by holding the lighter upright. On some lighters, you must depress the gas release button. On covered lighters, such as a Colibri lighter, opening the cap releases the gas. Once the hissing stops, all the air is expelled
• Fill the lighter only in a well-ventilated area. Never smoke while filling a lighter, or attempt to fill it, near an open flame
