How to Tie Hair in a Square Knot:

• Grow your hair. Your hair must be long enough that you can tie it into a square knot and still be able to get the knot out when you are done. Shoulder-length or longer hair is preferred for this hairstyle.
• Make a ponytail. You can pull your hair back into a ponytail at any point on your head that is comfortable for you. But the lower the ponytail, the easier it will be to make into a square-knot hairstyle.
• Create two sections of hair. Divide the hair in your ponytail down the middle into two thick sections. Hold onto each section with one of your hands.
