How to Clean Headphone Jacks:

• Many people find dirt, lint, fuzz and grime collecting inside the headphone jack of their portable audio device. No matter what kind of music player you use, if it has a headphone jack, chances are there's some dirt in it. This little bit of grime is not necessarily a problem, but it can affect your audio if it's allowed to build up too much
• Turn your device off and remove the headphones
• Remove most (but not all) of the cotton from one end of your swab using scissors or your fingers
• Dip the end with the cotton removed into a small amount of rubbing alcohol
• Gently place the end of the swab with the rubbing alcohol into the device
• Carefully move the swab around, allowing the dirt to collect on the tip
• Remove the swab and allow the device to dry before using again
