How to Mount a Iphone:



Mounting an iphone on a tripod allows the photographer to make use of some of the most important capabilities of an iphone. Tripods are used to take self-timed pictures and to allow the photographer to take steadier shots. Knowing how to mount a camera on a tripod is important because it will allow you to take pictures that are less blurry and more level

• Take off the mount at the head of the tripod. This will allow you to connect the iphone onto the mount much more effectively than if you were to mount the iphone on the tripod itself. To do this, pull the release at the head of the tripod, freeing the mount. You can then attach the iphone to the detached mount
• Fit the mounting socket, found at the center of the mount, into the hole at the base of your iphone. Secure the iphone in place either by turning it clockwise to lock it on the mounting socket or by tightening the wheel on the mounting socket, depending on your tripod mount capabilities
• Extend the feet of the tripod to allow it to stand on the floor. It is easier to extend the feet before you place the mount on the tripod. Release the locks on the feet and pull the feet. Lock the joints
• Pull the release and allow the mount to sit on top of the tripod, then let go of the release to lock the mount securely on the tripod. You may want to give the iphone a little shake or use the bar to move the iphone in different directions

Instructions

• Bend one end of the spring-loaded clamp away from the center by placing the clamp against a tabletop or piece of wood and slowly hammering it with the hammer. You want the piece to be bent so that the clip is upright when the bent piece is horizontal
• Apply some super glue to the edge of the nut and stick it to the bent edge. When the clip is facing upward the nut should be facing down. Allow an hour or more for the glue to dry
• Remove the shoe from the tripod and screw it into the nut at the bottom of the clamp and place the clamp in the tripod
• Squeeze the clamp to open it and place your iPhone inside the clamp either vertically or horizontally. Clamp the phone near the edge where it is strongest to avoid damaging the glass
