1988 Topps Handmade Complete Set
This 396-card, standard-size set was issued in 15-card wax packs as well as in factory sets. The wax packs also included an 1,000 yard club card. Card fronts feature a team helmet, player's name and position beneath the player photo. The borders surrounding the photo are in the colors of the team. The backs have highlights and yearly statistics. The set is ordered by how the teams finished. The Team Leader (TL) cards show an action scene for each team. Potential young stars are also designated by Topps as "Super Rookies." Rookie Cards include Neal Anderson, Cornelius Bennett, Jerome Brown, Shane Conlan, Chris Doleman, Mel Gray, Kevin Greene, Bo Jackson, Mark Jackson, Seth Joyner, Tom Rathman, Clyde Simmons, Webster Slaughter, Pat Swilling and Vinny Testaverde.
