A tribute to our friends in Parkersburg, Iowa, where a tornado struck last Sunday, May 25, leaving destruction, devastation, & grief, in a lovely Midwest Iowa rural community.
They are an incredibly strong & close knit family & most have lost everything or nearly everything.
These 6 milk glass mugs are from an Estate & were made for the US Bicentennial & feature an Eagle in front of a flag with 1776 & 1976 on one side & "Parkersburg Remembers" on the other side surrounded by a ring of fireworks & June 25-26 along the bottom edge of the circle.
The mugs measure 5 1/2" tall x 3" across with pedestal bases measuring 2 3/4" in diameter.
The mugs hold 10 oz.
They are in near perfect condition. One of the cups have a light blue stain of the blue paint on the pedestal & another has a little black scuff mark on the lower side.
There are no chips or cracks.
These mugs are 32 yrs. old & could possibly be a treasured gift to someone there who has lost most everything & is starting over. Maybe as a display set in a community center or senior center or nursing home when they are rebuilt.
I do believe these are a precious momento.
These will weigh about 7 lbs. 10 oz. when packed, so UPS Ground would be the most economical.
