A Manual wind in excellent condition. A full size 14k  Gold  Filled case with a champagne 2 tone quartered dial, a black leather band in lizard grain and a smoothly ticking  sweeping second hand. The movement is working fully and keeping great time. Case, Glass & Crown: 100% original 14k Gold Filled case in classic design with long teardrop lugs. The case is in  excellent condition. The crystal is in mint condition. Dial & Hands : 100% original  excellent condition champagne 2 tone quartered dial. (tiny spot under the name). Excellent aged condition gold hands. Excellent raised gold markers. Size: Measures 34 mm side to side (excluding crown) and 44 mm lug to lug. Band: Quality genuine leather band in black lizard grain. History of Hamilton Watches Founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Hamilton watches have come to represent a variety of uniquely American values - rugged individualism, functional style, initiative, boldness, steadfastness. Initially manufactured to provide the country's railroads with reliable timing devices, the Hamilton railroad pocket watch was adopted as the official watch of the American Expeditionary Forces worldwide. A wrist watch version of the railroad watch was issued to General Pershing and his doughboys in WWI, accompanied Admiral Byrd on his expeditions to the North and South Poles, served the Picards well on their first balloon ascent into the stratosphere, and was on the wrist of the first American to scale Mount Everest.
