CPU was purchased new with an MSI 790GX/G65 AM3 HDMI motherboard. CPU was tested with included AMD HS/Fan in both Tri-Core and Quad-Core Modes for a customer who later failed to purchase the system that was built for them.

CPU is guaranteed to function in quad core mode when installed in the above mentioned motherboard only.
No other brands and/or models of motherboards were tested and so cannot be guaranteed.
With above mentioned motherboard you can unlock the 4th core with a simple BIOS setting change!

CPU and associated hardware tested for functionality only - no benches, burn-in or stress tests performed.

Customer will need to supply own thermal paste.
Arctic Silver or equivalent recommended for best temps!
