Chickering became associated with John Mackay, a merchant, as well as
organ and pianomaker who had worked with alpheus babcock, doing business as Chickering & Co. at 416 washington street
In 1837 Chickering & Mackays (with Mackay's son William H. Mackay)
built a new five story factory, with warerooms and a small concert
hall, at 334 Washington Street.the piano has been restored inside.it has tremendous sound while playing the piano.this is a chance to own a piece of history.i had a piano appraisal to research the piano out for me.happy bidding we are willing to deliver the piano to for a fee of $1.00 a mile!!!!!
