Up for auctions is a Goebel Hummel “Little Thrifty” #118 TMK 6 Figurine
This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing.
It comes with the original key and also has the number 13 stamped on the bottom
This authentic Hummel figurine titled 'Little Thrifty' was first modeled in 1939 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller and restyled in 1963 by Rudolf Wittman. The piece is actually a bank with a metal lock and key on the bottom! The object into which 'Little Thrifty' is putting her coin is a medieval form of a Poor Box, something still found in many older European churches. This piece was temporarily withdrawn in 2003.
