Notes From The Author

Part One
Getting Started

The secrets to grow a productive organic intensive gardening system is in the initial preparation. By selecting a site where there is enough sunlight to grow the organic plants, free from tree roots, large rocks etc, adequate drainage, and where water is available for irrigating the organic intensive gardening systems beds.

Layout and designs for organic beds instead of conventional rows, so soil will be compacted only in the walkways not the beds. Leaving the organic intensive gardening systems beds loose and well drained. With organic intensive beds enough vegetables can be grown for fresh use, and storage, in a much smaller space.

Drip irrigation saves water and keeps the foliage and walkways dry. The use of fence lines can be valuable to grow organic crops vertically that would otherwise take up a lot more space.

Fall or spring plot preparation for organic intensive gardening? When to start preparing so that organic crops can be planted as early as possible and start to grow? What you need to get started to prepare to grow your organic vegetables? These are questions that will be answered in this volume, then you can begin staking, and preparing the plot for your organic intensive gardening beds.

Part Two
Food for Thought

Knowing what to grow in your organic intensive beds when you only have a small space to work with is important, the space needs to be used efficiently to grow a organic intensive garden. There are some crops that you might not want to grow in your organic intensive gardening beds, because the space that you have available to grow in, can be used better by growing others. Mixing crops that are early, mid-season, and late-season in organic intensive gardening beds can make the best use of your space that you have available to grow your organic vegetables.

The information contained in this volume, will get you thinking about how much you want for fresh use from your organic beds, planning to grow your organic food storage, how some crops can be difficult to grow in some areas, and how to deal with those issues in your organic intensive gardening beds.

By understanding the organic intensive gardening system, you can determine how much to grow in your organic beds, calculate what you can get from the space that you have available in your organic beds, and make a plan to grow in your organic intensive gardening beds.

Part Three
The Nuts and Bolts

The most important element of this organic intensive gardening system is the
design of the beds. The
design of the beds is what allows everything to work together in the organic intensive gardening system, when combining organic garden beds with rows, and drip irrigation. This volume has the information that holds everything together in order to grow the organic intensive gardening system.

Combining the crops in the organic intensive gardening beds in combinations that will grow maximum yields from the beds, make the best use of the space you have available for beds, and make the most efficient use of available water resources to grow your organic vegetables. This information is necessary for planning your organic intensive gardening beds, for determining what to plant for fresh use, successive planting for continuation of fresh use organic crops, and how to get more for food storage from that intensive gardening beds space.

Plant combinations in your organic intensive gardening beds that make the best use of the space you have available to grow in beds, grow plant group combinations for planning organic crop rotations, and the nutrient needs associated with these groups. Utilizing fences or border beds to grow organic intensive beds can be important, versatile, and help you with planning to grow your organic food storage. With this information you will be ready with your own customized plan when it is time to plant and grow your organic intensive gardening beds.

Part Four
Getting Down to Business

Adding organic material to the intensive gardening plot and turning it under to ensure a fertile growing medium for the organic plants to grow in is an important step to prepare your organic intensive gardening beds. What types of organic materials should be used in the
beds, and when they should be applied to the beds is also important, the wrong timing can be damaging to the organic crops that will grow in the organic intensive gardening beds.

Spring is the time to start laying out the beds, after the organic material is added to the plot, you can stake, layout the beds, prepare for planting your intensive beds, and to purchase your seeds. You will discover how to Purchase your seeds, in the correct quantity, for the best prices, and what you need to start planting your custom organic garden beds.

Volume Five
Following Through

Planting time has arrived. You can plant cool weather organic crops as soon as the ground can be worked for the organic plants to grow while it is cool. The beds are prepared, and planted as early as March 15, in northern climates.

The use of 2' fence beds, in conjunction with 4' garden beds, will provide versatility to grow climbing organic plants, and add bed space for planting organic food storage. You can plant rows of organic vegetables in your beds, grow nine early-planted rows per 4'  bed, and grow five rows per 2' fence bed to start.

Later after the frost-free date another row of transplants can be added to each organic gardening bed, making a total of ten rows per 4' wide bed, and six rows per 2' wide bed harvested throughout the gardening season. Counting a 2' walkway this amounts to 10 rows in 4' of gardening space, a row-cropping farmer with a tractor would need 30' for that.

That is five times the amount of vegetables in our organic bed gardening system, than what the farmer will get.

SHIPPING DETAILS

Our items that have less than $2.99 shipping cost we are unable to provide tracking. Due to the USPS shipping regulations packages that are less than 1/2" in thickness do not qualify as a parcel. The package thick envelope is the only option that is available to us with paypal and ebay shipping and our minimum shipping cost under 4 oz is close to or more than the total sale price for most of those items.

We are shipping these items in an envelope reinforced with card stock with a postage stamp. Therefore; we are able to reduce your shipping costs. However: since there is no tracking please notify us if your item does not show up in a timely manner. Customer satisfaction is important to us.

Our combined shipping discount of $2.99 per additional item is not applied to listings where the additional item shipping cost for that listing is less than $2.99 because it trumps the cost that we have added for the additional item which is generally less. We will offer combined shipping discounts if you want to purchase items from separate ebay store listings. However; it must be done as a seller discount after the sale has been completed.

Send us a message telling us what items that you want and we will agree to a seller discount in advance. After you purchase the items, before you pay send us a message to ask for a combined invoice, and a reminder of our discount agreement. This reminder is important to avoid mistakes as we have many messages every day and will not remember them all.  We will then send you a combined invoice with a seller discount that matches our agreement with you.

A listing with first class mail shipping advertised is generally for one item. If multiple items are purchased from that listing that make the weight over 13 oz we will send the package parcel post. USPS regulations only allow up to 13oz for first class mail. In some cases where the items will fit into a priority mail flat rate box or envelope, we will send them priority mail, since the rate will be comparable, and the shipment will be delivered to you faster. This applies to multiple items purchased from listings advertised as first class or parcel post mail. We try to get the products to you as fast and safe as we can within the shipping amount that we have to work with.
