Butterfly Ginger ~Hedychium coronarium~ Plant Rhizomes X 2     This item is sold as two root rhizomes. This plant is cold hardy and will give a nice tropical touch to any garden. The white flowers look like butterflies, are beautifully fragrant and make nice cut flowers in a vase of water for the home.     This ginger prefers part to full sun and soil high in organic matter. It will tolerate low temperatures as low as -8C with some die down in the winter but will regrow in the following spring. When you receive your plant you may either plant straight in the ground or in a pot. All orders are processed on Monday after payment is received. Your plant rhizome will be removed from our planting beds and prepared for shipment as a fresh bare rooted rhizome. The roots will be washed and wrapped in moist paper and protected for shipment. All plants are shipped in recycled material.   Regular post for all shipments, unless otherwise requested. We recommend that if you live in a rural or remote area you select Express Post.
