DIEFFICENTE TROPIC MARIANNE~Lime Colour Leaves~Shade Diefficente 'Tropical Marianne' Adult - filtered sun and shade This item is sold as 1 moderate sized plant approximately 20cm height, similiar to the young plant shown below, labeled 'Tropical Marianne - - Young Plant'. Dieffenbachia 'Tropic Marianne' grows with contrasting cream and green leaves. It grows in clusters upright and bushy approximately 1m height X 50cm width. It makes a great indoor plant or can be easily grown outdoors in a sheltered, shady position outdoors, or as a specimen plant on the patio or varandah. This plant makes a terrific statement, with its stark contrasting cream and green leaves. The amount of cream vs green edging seems to depend on the amount of shade provided, with creamer leaves occurring if keep covered under filtered light (as shown above bottom left picture). Darker edging occurs if exposed to more sunlight (as shown above, top left picture). The plant in the bigger picture shows its adult size and is the 'mother' plant from which the plant for sale was harvested. This plant enjoys regular watering during warmer months, pruning late Spring or early Summer, annual repotting, and liquid fertiliser every 4 to 6 weeks during the warmer months.
